Chinese firms win $1.32bn contract to build Tanzania rail line
China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) and China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) will construct the 249-km Mwanza-Isaka SGR line which is the fifth phase of the 2561-km railway project undertaken by the government.
Mitsubishi wins Cairo Metro Line 4 Phase 1 contract
Mitsubishi will handle the supply and installation of signalling, power supply, telecommunications, platform screen doors, and automatic fare collection. Orascom will handle the project’s civil engineering work and construction of the train operation control centre, depot and workshop.
